Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Product Heartbeat (“Overdeliver,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or install and use the Overdeliver app for Shopify (the “App”).
Information we collect
When you visit our website
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.
- Preferences stored in your browser. The site remembers choices such as the shopper you selected, whether the sidebar is open, and which power-ups you have equipped. This is stored only in your browser’s local storage and is not sent to us.
When you install and use the App
- Store information. Your store’s name, domain, contact email, Shopify plan, and the settings you configure in the App.
- Order and fulfillment information. Details needed to provide App features, such as shipping rates shown and selected, and fulfillment and delivery dates used to show delivery estimates and evaluate the on-time promise.
- Customer information. When you enable features that reward your customers, such as the on-time promise, we process the limited customer details needed to deliver that reward, such as a customer ID and email address.
We receive App data through Shopify’s APIs, with the permissions you approve when installing the App.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the website and the App.
- To show delivery estimates, free shipping progress, and shipping rate decorations, and to issue on-time promise rewards you configure.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To process billing, which is handled through Shopify.
- To monitor for security issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that host our services or provide analytics (such as Google Analytics), under agreements that limit their use of the information.
- Shopify, as needed to operate the App on your store.
- Corso, if you use Overdeliver’s Corso Post-purchase features, to provide those features.
- Legal and safety reasons, such as to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
Data retention and deletion
We keep App data while the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, Shopify sends us a request to delete your store’s data 48 hours later, and we delete it after receiving that request, except where we must keep information to meet legal obligations.
If you are a customer of a store that uses Overdeliver, please contact that store to access or delete your information. When a store forwards your request through Shopify, we respond to it as required.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@overdeliver.app.
You can limit analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our website and App are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
